Over the past decade, Reel Grrls made it possible for over a thousand girls from the Puget Sound area to find their voice through media production. Ten years into our history, we see our graduates heading out to change the male-dominated media landscape by building their careers in various media fields across the country and telling untold stories.

Despite our legacy, we still see a need for major changes to be made for women in media. Did you know that in 2009 only 3.6% of the directors on the top 100-grossing films were female? This number has been too low for too long. We need a diversity of perspectives behind the camera and a shift in representation on camera - and what better way than by equipping a young girl with training and a mentor through Reel Grrls.

Consider a contribution this holiday season to help us mentor and train the next generation of girls to become the change-makers our world needs.

70% of girls who attend our programs receive scholarships. Your contribution puts a camera in the hands of a girl who would not otherwise have the opportunity to make a film. See the impact your support has on young women by viewing this clip from Kristy Guevara-Flanagan's upcoming documentary The History of the Universe as Told by Wonder Woman.

Give a girl the gift of self expression, and help us continue our success for decades to come.
